Blackout Blinds
Introduction:
Blackout Blinds can be found in two of our product ranges - The roller blind programme and the cassette blind programme. Each model within these ranges is available with blackout fabric. However, the amount of light exclusion varies between models. Depending on the end user’s light exclusion requirements, we will be able to recommend a model suitable for their needs.
Roller Blinds
Within our roller blinds programme, we have 12 different models of free hanging roller blinds, each of which are available with blackout fabric. These are ideal for where a blackout effect is required, where complete light exclusion isn’t essential.
Although roller blinds with blackout fabric will block out most direct sunlight, they do not provide 100% exclusion as they do not include cassette, guide rails and bottom seal to prevent light coming around the edges of the blind.
Unlike cassette blinds where ‘blackout’ is referring to the capability of the system, in roller blinds ‘blackout’ simply means the use of a blackout fabric.

Cassetted Blinds
Cassetted blinds are a more effective option in total light exclusion. The models within our cassette blinds programme are geared towards demanding commercial applications. Specifically, the C7 Cassette Blind range offers 100% light exclusion.
In total, within our Cassette Blinds programme, we have three ranges of cassette blinds:.
The C2 range of cassette blinds are simply a robust and modern alternative to standard non-cassette roller blinds.
Our C4 range includes attractive aluminium side channels. These side channels help to retain the fabric in position, and when used in conjunction with blackout fabric will offer a higher degree of light exclusion.
The C7 range are high performance blackout blinds offering the highest possible degree of light exclusion by means of brush seals and light transfer baffles in the side channels and head boxes. Such features make the C7 range suitable for photographic and medical environments. They are also widely used in conference rooms, lecture theatres and laboratories.
